. From here the Young Christian Student Movement spread to the other dioceses in Kenya. The National Secretariat was established in 1969 at Ufungamano House, later shifted to the National Catholic Youth Centre, Mji wa Furaha. The YCS in Kenya brings together twenty three (23) dioceses all over Kenya.
It is a National Movement Coordinated at the National level by students from the University, high school and othe Tetiary Institutions with the aid of a National Chaplain and a National Coordinator constituting the National Office.

Vision: A students world that understands the bases of Human Rights and especially their own rights as well as the rights of every other individual, capably equipped with civic education to understand our country better who will make informed decision during the coming general election and later.
The Kenya Young Christian Students (KYCS) National Rally now will be part of founders weekend an event that will be bringing together students both from High Schools as well as Tertiary Institution from all member dioceses s in Kenya. This event will stick to the tradition of the rally to be held every last Saturday of June annually..
